(Previously known as Immigration Canada)
Please read this entire document carefully. By checking the box and signing below, you acknowledge that you understand, accept, and agree to be bound by all terms, conditions, policies, and the fine print (including the fine print within the fine print).
This Agreement is executed on the unceded, unsurrendered, and treaty-violated territories of Indigenous Nations across what is now branded as “Canada.” Acknowledgement is included with this Agreement at no additional cost. Restitution is not.
By checking the box below and signing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and willingly accept the following:
You accept that to survive in Canada, you may need to acquire debt for education, housing, transportation, or other basic survival needs. Debt is not a bug; it's a feature.
You agree to pay income tax, sales tax, carbon tax, property tax, GST/HST, PST, SIN deductions, EI, CPP, and any new taxes created in the future without guaranteed improvement in services.
You acknowledge that you will work to contribute to the economy until retirement age (which may change). Your labour is appreciated and heavily taxed.
You understand that home ownership may remain out of reach and rent will continue to increase faster than your income.
You accept that wait times, system outages, and understaffing are normal. Patience is required. Complaints will be met with "We're doing our best."
The Canadian Dream™ is not guaranteed. It is a marketing slogan. Results may vary. Use at your own risk.
You acknowledge that "Canada" was built on unceded, unsurrendered, and treaty-violated Indigenous territory. Residential schools, broken treaties, and ongoing displacement are foundational, not historical. Land acknowledgements are provided. Land back is not.
